Web Search is a tool that allows the Lexi-Comp Online user to expand a search to other medically-based web sites. After a term is entered in the Search window, click on the Web Search button and this health search portal interrogates multiple healthcare sites. The results are displayed in a separate window and allow you to access the content directly within various resources, with additional links to abstracts and primary literature.
Ensure desired search term in the Search window.
Results are organized by resource and detailed category based on search term.
Links are available to numerous web sites including those that offer abstracts of primary literature.
Links are pre-selected based on search term (eg, different for drugs vs diseases).
Once in the Web Search window, additional searches may be conducted by typing a new search term in the Search window.
